History

Havachons are a cross between the Bichon Frise and the Havachon. Because it is a designer dog, not much information about its origin is available.

Temperament & Personality

Having a loyal, friendly and even disposition makes the Havachon an excellent family dog. There can be times when they get a little stubborn, but they are always eager to please their owner. They are curious and explore the home to find out more about it. Its behavior with children and strangers is very amicable. Even though it doesn’t get aggressive, it serves as an excellent watchdog and alerts its family in times of danger.

Care

Exercise

Havachon puppies are active dogs need moderate walking and playing sessions every day. Keep them busy in activities to prevent laziness. If there is a fenced area, let it run without a leash for some time.

Grooming

Brush the coat twice a day to remove tangled hairs. Bath it occasionally using a dog shampoo. Clean and wipe the ears to avoid infections. Trim the long nails only with the right tools.

Health Problems

Although there are no breed-specific disorders for this dog, there is a possibility to inherit the issues of Bichon Frise. Ask for the parent’s health clearances from the breeder before purchasing the dog.

Training

Havachons are smart dogs and easy to train. They learn a variety of tricks quickly and can keep themselves entertained. The consistent and firm owner should act as the pack leader. Use only positive methods like treats and praises.

Feeding

High-quality dry dog food split into two meals can be given to the Havachon. The amount is half to one cup, but it can vary with size, age, and metabolism.
