YORKIEPOO

History

The Yorkiepoo is the cross between the Yorkshire Terrier and the Poodle. A well-known trait of this breed is that none of the two specimens looks alike, not even the littermates. The puppy can have a long silky hair or tight curls which are typical of a Poodle. Yorkies in most cases have a blend of colors on the coat, while it is not uncommon for each pup to have a different color.

Exercise

Like both their parents, the Yorkiepoo adults are active and energetic that needs a regular exercise routine to maintain their bones and muscles. It will equally enjoy playing with a ball with small kids, and afterward will rest in the lap of its owner. They also need a short run on a daily basis and will profoundly appreciate if their owner takes them out on a play session once in a while. A game of Frisbee or a game of flyball will also be a great option. If deprived of regular activities, these dogs can become destructive, in most extreme cases even dangerous for the entire family. Afterall, one should always remember the fact that they are also a living being with various kind of emotional level.

Grooming

Yorkie poo full grown have silky coat and might require some special grooming and maintenance. A weekly grooming will keep the dog well-groomed and good looking. But the fact is that the total grooming process depends upon the dog’s coat. Regular brushing can damage the dog’s natural distribution of oil throughout its entire body. Brush the dog’s teeth once in a while, and clean the ear with a soft cloth.

Health problems

These yorkie mix puppies can suffer from Dysplasia, Hypoglycemia, Musculoskeletal issues, Distichias, and Cataracts. Some dogs that are underweight are prone to Vomiting, Tracheal Collapse, Diarrhea, Anaesthesia Sensitivity, and Frequent Injuries.

Training

The training process can start by teaching the basic dog commands like sit, leave, and shh. The rest includes basic training tips like obedience, leash, crate, and socialization. Frequent praise and food rewards will accelerate the overall training process.

Feeding

They are fussy eaters, so the owner can mix and match tasty doggy foods to lure the dog. Be experimental and creative when dealing with this breed’s food habits.
