Temperament and Personality
The dog can build a strong bond with members of the family and even with kids of any age. They are quite adventurous in searching things like spiders or any creature which might not sound safe for them. Their bright personality makes them quick learners and can become excellent watchdogs regarding safety.
Affenshire loves to get engrossed in activities and playing games in open space. They need to stay fit, so it is essential to take them for a walk or jog for 20 to 30 minutes.
The breed sheds less, brushing twice or thrice a week is necessary. It is possible to manually remove the tangled hair and matted fur. Teeth should be brushed and nails should regularly be clipped to avoid dental problems and infections. In order to keep its ears clean, it is advised to be taken to grooming professionals.
There are no specific health issues, but like other breeds, it is better to prevent them from having hip dysplasia, patellar luxation, ear infection, dental problems, etc.
The pup should have a gentle exercise because harsh training can make them weary if listening to commands. Mistakes should be neglected and if it becomes stubborn, then train them to follow up. Be specific with the kind of behavior a person expects and let them know what situations they have to react.
Give the dog 2 cups of good quality of dry kibbles every day.
