Miniature Goldendoodle does not require heavy exercising and 20-30 minutes of short walks will be adequate for this dog. Playing different games with family and friends will also help the dog to stay mentally and physically fit.
To maintain a healthy coat of golden retriever poodle mix puppies brush the dog frequently (twice or thrice a week). An experienced trimmer should trim their nails and coats to refrain bleeding and pain. Excess bathing will lead to loss of essential oils, therefore do not bathe the dog until it is incredibly filthy. To avoid gum diseases, brushing thrice a week is vital.
Miniature Goldendoodle’s parent breeds are prone to Hip Dysplasia. Therefore most of these dogs suffer from this disease. Other primary problems seen are Patellar Luxation, Von Willebrand’s Disease, Hypothyroidism, Progressive Retinal Atrophy and Gastric Dilation Volvulus.
Occasional tests include X-rays, Ophthalmic and ear exam, Buccal Mucosal Screening, Full Physical Examination, Diagnostic Imaging, Blood Glucose tests, etc.
Miniature Goldendoodle is very intelligent and trainable. Training is easy and doesn’t need repetitive sessions as they catch things quickly if taught from an early stage.
A large meal will be difficult for the dog to digest, but serve them as small meals. Meat or meat supplements are nutritious too. 1-4 cups of dry dog food for active breeds are preferred, while organic coconut oil or fish oil can be used for extra health benefits.
