History

Reagle is a crossbreed and both the parent breeds Rottweiler and the Beagle are popular as hunting, working and companion dogs. Rottweiler and the Beagle mix are also gaining recognition due to its mixed features and traits. These dogs are medium sized with a portly build, floppy ears long tail, and almond-shaped eyes.

Temperament & Personality

Reagle is a pleasant dog and loves to spend time with its family. Their calm nature makes them best companion for kids and children. They also like to play alone or with other pets in the house. The dog has inherited the smelling skills from its parent and is a master in detecting. Its smelling nature makes the dog chase smaller animals. They also show clownish antics to the people whom they love. During the 1st meet, they behave oddly with the strangers, but after familiarizing, they remain playful. This is why they are not good as watchdogs. However, they make a perfect family dog which can live a condo life, but this breed is not very common and are rarely found.

Care

Exercise

Taking this dog out every day for a walk or jog will be adequate to keep it mentally and physically fit. It should not do over activity whether it’s a dog or a puppy. The dog can be unleashed in a fenced yard and left to play as it will give enough refreshment along with mental and physical stability. It is advised to keep the dog in a strap while walking or in a dog’s park to avoid unwanted activity.

Grooming

It is a low shedder and requires little maintenance. Brushing the dog two to three times a week will keep the coat clean and healthy. Also, bathe the dog every month or when it is incredibly filthy. Like other dogs, it can also develop dental problems and to maintain dental health, a pet owner will require brushing 2-3 times a week. Reagle’s nails grow very fast, therefore clipping them at regular intervals is crucial.

These dogs are independent, and training them early will help in early socializing. Reagle is adamant at times and may become hard to train. Hence, a calm and patient trainer is required to train this dog. Positive training methods will help it to learn faster and stay flexible. Additionally, they can also get distracted by different smell and animals, so in order to keep them busy, offering biscuits and snacks can help.

Feeding
