History

Aussiedoodle/Ausiepoo Dog is a crossbreed and has the characteristics of both the Australian Shepherd (loyalty and game love) and Poodle (intelligence and energy). They have strong bones and are covered with a soft coat similar to rabbits. This Australian shepherd-poodle mix is a cute small cuddling friend to anyone as they can be very easily trained. Known to be family oriented, they can get very friendly and tolerant with small kids and even with other pets in the house. Aussiedoodles are very playful, sweet-natured easily getting along with anyone so can be the best pets.

Varieties

The breeds mainly vary with respect to an array of colors and sizes. Also, the coat quality may differ in them a lot, even at times between Aussiedoodle puppies of an individual litter. Wavy coats, as well as straight and tight curl hair or both, is available. They have a natural variation in their appearance mostly because of their colors. Blue Merle Aussiedoodles is a very popular color of this breed.

Temperament and Personality

Temperament often differs depending on the genetic contribution of the parent. They are usually intelligent, loving and game-prone breeds. They may inherit the traits and habits of both their Australian poodles and Australian shepherd poodle parents. Aussiepoo puppies are most affectionate and loyal breeds and require a positive connection with its human family. Therefore raising them in kennels or outdoors can make them suffer from separation anxiety.

Miniature Aussiedoodle love children and are well-behaved family pets. However at times especially in case of their proximity to small children as they can get over-energetic at times and may hurt them accidentally. Aussiedoodles may sometimes retain the herding instincts of the Australian shepherd, so this behavior must be checked and controlled from a very early age to enhance its growth to be a well-behaved dog. They are best known for their cheerful, responsive, alert, social, friendly, courageous, playful, and affectionate nature. But to keep them healthy and lively, they need to be exercised on a regular basis.

Care

Exercise

The Aussiedoodle require a daily dose of strenuous exercise to stay active and maintain fitness. Plenty of exercises is a must for them as without exercising on a regular basis, they tend to become hyperactive and this might result in creating havoc at home. So owners must keep in mind that a walk of ninety minutes is necessary for the Aussiedoodles. Additionally, activities like swimming, running, and other games need an addition in their list to stay fit. Inadequate exercise schedule will make them obese and can suffer other health problems.

Grooming

Aussiedoodles full grown or puppies have different types of fur. Some may have long straight hair like the Australian shepherd while others may resemble the Poodle by its loose curls. However, on some occasions, a few might inherit both the characteristics. One must note that these are not at all low maintenance pets as they require proper grooming. One must make sure to brush them every alternate day depending on the coat type. Nail needs trimming every two weeks, with ear cleaning to keep them dry and prevent bacterial and yeast infections. Most importantly daily tooth brushing is an essential element of grooming your pet.

Caring also means that you provide your pet the most comfortable dog house. You may checkout Aivituvin insulated dog house which has been constructed using the best quality materials and considering your pets comfort requirement.

Health problems

One must check their health that includes genetic diseases. Make sure to get health certificates from a breeder who can guide about the parental health clearances. Aussiedoodles are a healthy breed and usually do not suffer from any hereditary ailments. Some may suffer from hip dysplasia and certain other health issues. Some are also prone to inherit problems of epilepsy, deafness or eye-related concerns, drug sensitivity, hypothyroidism, cancer, several allergies and skin problems.

Training

They are undoubtedly the smartest and highly trainable breeds so you must start training them the day you bring the puppies home. They are capable of adopting everything you teach and if possible, you may also send him to the puppy kindergarten classes for proper socialization.

But one can always opt for informal training and start their training at home among family and friends. If provied with proper training they will learn more quickly and happily. This breed picks up things very quickly and you must avoid making the training monotonous. They listen to your commands and obeys them but may be stubborn at times.

Early training and proper socialization are essential so that it grows up to be a dog that you can easily trust in any condition and one who is reliable and listens to you. However, always stay firm, calm, consistent and patient with Aussiedoodles. It is better to avoid scolding or punishing them as they do not tend to respond well to harsh training techniques.

Feeding

Aussiedoodles are highly energetic dogs and require a proper diet which helps them to meet their daily energy needs of nutritional supplements. Overeating can cause obesity hence, make sure it eats at least twice a day.

How much should i feed my Aussiedoodle puppy?

If one opts for dry food, free-feeding might be given for a certain period of time. However, overeating dry food may also have an adverse effect on your puppy. The best technique is to feed them three times in a day with a course of raw chicken, bones and various other nutritious supplements. This diet will help them grow and have an improvement in physical as well as mental health.
