History

The Beagi is a designer breed, it is a corgi beagle mix. It was developed in the 1990s and is famous as a family companion as well as a hunting dog.

Temperament and Personality

This breed is known for its friendly, loving and energetic behavior. It inherits intelligence and a strong sense of smell or hunting instinct from both its parents. Exactly like its parents, it also gets cautious in front of strangers, but proper upbringing can take care of this. They tend to be the center of attraction and go well with children, elders and other family members. Moreover, they don’t like staying alone as they prefer being close to humans.

Care

Exercise

This breed is fairly an active dog and it needs to exercise regularly to stay healthy and positively release energy. Taking her for bristle walks can maintain good health. They also like swimming and playing fetching games which keeps them occupied and entertained.

Grooming

As the dog is an average shedder, they require moderate grooming as well. Brush their coats regularly and bathe them with dog shampoo as and when needed. To prevent infection, clean their eyes ears and teeth regularly.

Health Problems

The Beagi can inherit problems from its parents that includes back and joint disorder, epilepsy, and even allergies. Other health issues which it may have are hip dysplasia, eye problem, hypothyroidism, ear infection and patellar luxation.

Training

The dog is a stubborn one, so they require the patient trainer to understand them and adequately direct them. She needs a consistent and firm trainer who uses a positive method of training. The pup should learn to socialize in the very initial stage, but training them indoors can be difficult.
