History
Blue Lacy is named after the Lacy brothers of Texas, who developed them in the 19th century for rounding up wild hogs. They started with a Greyhound and a wolf then grew the resulting puppies into all-around working dogs that had high speed and strived to work.

Temperament & Personality
Lacy dogs are intelligent and versatile as they were bred to do all sorts of tasks. They dedicate themselves to guarding livestock and taking part in retrieving games without training no matter how difficult it might be. These dogs are subtle to harsh behavior and are easy to take care. It can be instructed to deal appropriately with children and other pets right from puppyhood. Being excellent guard dogs so their behavior with unknown people might be a matter of concern.
