Cojacks are designer dogs made by mixing the Jack Russell Terrier and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. These dogs have pointy ears, short and stout legs, straight tails, and almond-shaped eyes. As they are a hybrid, they have a very limited history to speak about.

The Kojack, like its parents, is a very amicable and intelligent dog. Although they are used as companion animals, it has a herding desire which it inherits from Jack Russell. This will make the dog more energetic, but it can be controlled by diverting it to training and playing. They are loyal to their family and love being the center of attention. Prolonged periods of loneliness will grow destructive behavior in them. They do not bark excessively but can do so in case they spot a stranger. Also, they are experts in learning new tricks.

Care

Exercise

Daily exercise is vital for the energy requirements of this breed. Visit a dog park or a fenced yard so that it can run as much as it wants. It mingles well with kids and other dogs, so there can be numerous fun-filled play sessions. All these steps will provide the Cojack with sufficient mental and physical stimulation.

Grooming

Corgi terrier mix pets have short coats and low shedding making Cojack a low-maintenance dog. To prevent dirt and tangled hairs, brush its coat two times every week. Clean and wipe its eyes and ears to avoid infections.

Health Problems

This is a healthy dog, as no major health issues (specific to this breed) have been reported.

Training

The owner has the responsibility to direct the Cojacks energy into something beneficial, like dancing. If there are no problems in the dogs hind legs, hold a small piece of food behind its head and move the hand in a circular way. The dog, hoping to catch the food will stand on its hind legs and keep circling. To discard the fear of being lonely in the dog, try leaving it alone for a small period, and then increase the time. Early socialization and obedience training is vital to help it behave appropriately in front of everybody.

Feeding

Dry kibbles, without grain, are the right food for Cojacks. Protein-rich foods like chicken, meat, and fish can also be a part of its diet.
