History

A mix of the Poodle and the Bulldog, English Boodles are excellent companions with a calm and gentle demeanor. Because it is a crossbreed, little is known about its history.

Temperament & Personality

An amiable and social dog, the Boodle gets along well with family members and children of all ages. They enjoy the company of people which makes separation anxiety a possibility. Long durations of loneliness will bring about destructive behavior such as barking. These dogs are excellent as watchdogs and signal their families if they sense any threat. Extreme temperatures won’t be an issue as this dog can adjust with them easily.

Exercise

The Boodle has average activity requirements and adapts well to apartment life. It loves spending time both indoors and outdoors if there are play sessions which give it constant stimulation. Daily walking, while leashed is essential to keep it in good shape.

Grooming

To keep the skin healthy and shiny, brush their coat regularly. Visit a professional groomer to trim the hairs and clip off the nails. Bathing only when it’s dirty with dog shampoo will maintain its silky and soft curls and keep skin infections at bay.

Health Problems

No significant health issues regarding this breed are known as of now. Common problems include infections, heart diseases, epilepsy, etc. Consult a vet if it behaves abnormally.

Training

Bouts of stubbornness will make it difficult for first-time owners to handle the dog. Positive methods along with patience and consistency will ensure steady growth of the Boodle. House training should include basic obedience and socialization skills to make them affectionate and gentle.

Feeding

A balanced diet should be full of nutrients like proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. Give them at least two cups of high-quality dog food daily.
