History

The French Bullhuahua is a hybrid of the Chihuahua and the Frenchie (French bulldog). Although many well-known organizations recognize them, this breed does not have a well-documented history.

Temperament & Personality

A playful and loyal dog, the Frencheenie loves to be the center of attention. They enjoy being with their family and receiving their love. It builds a close bond with any one family member and can act territorial and aggressive at times, which makes them unpredictable. This breed is wary around strangers until it gets to know them properly. They are comfortable with all types of weather.

Exercise

Frencheenies are moderately active and require light exercises daily. Thirty minutes of activity, including walks and play sessions, will be enough. Access to a dog park or a fenced yard will be helpful, although an apartment will also suffice due to their small size.

Grooming

The short coat of bulldog chihuahua mix needs only regular brushing to stay healthy. Check and clean its ears and eyes to avoid infections. Clip its long nails with the right tools or get them cut by a professional groomer. Brush their teeth twice or thrice weekly.

Health Problems

Other than usual dog diseases, there are no significant concerns regarding this breed of dog. Seek the health clearances of its parents before buying from the breeder.

Training

These dogs can be stubborn sometimes so the owner must be patient and consistent. Begin the training when they are puppies. Teach them basic obedience and socialization skills to help them mingle with other animals and people. Use only positive methods like treats and praises to keep them interested in the process. Negative techniques will grow destructive behavior in the French Bullhuahuas.
