History

Havapoos are designer dogs developed by mixing the poodle and the Havanese. They are crossbreed, therefore, information about their origin is unavailable. This breed is officially recognized by many reputed organizations.

Temperament & Personality

These small dogs have a playful, energetic and carefree attitude. They like being with their family and enjoy being the center of attention. Its affectionate and friendly disposition ensures that it mingles well with people of all ages. The small size will raise the possibility of small dog syndrome. Their behavior with strangers is quite good making them unsuitable for watching purposes. Havapoos grow close to their owner, which makes them a good companion dog.

Exercise

Running outdoor will burn a lot of energy for them. Moreover, indoor games without a leash will provide it mental and physical stimulation. Visiting a dog park or a fenced area will be useful while staying off-leash at home won’t pose any problems.

Grooming

Brush the Havanese mix puppies at least two to three times every week to prevent tangling. Clip the long nails and wipe its eyes and ears to avoid infection. Bath it occasionally only with dog shampoo.

Health Problems

This is a relatively healthy breed with no significant health problems being reported. Although, there are frequent issues like joint dysplasia, ear and dental problems which the owner should keep an eye for. Get the dog vaccinated and ask for the parent’s health clearances while buying it.

Training

Havanese poodle mix pets are easy to train with positive methods. Use treats and praises to keep the dog motivated while staying confident and calm throughout the process. In-house training is possible, but you may need the help of a professional. Teach them necessary socialization and obedience skills to help them blend with other people and animals.

Feeding

Havanese full grown pets are highly energetic dogs require high-quality food to give them adequate nutrition. Make sure the commercial diet is advised for this breed. The amount of food can change on the basis of the dog’s size, age, and metabolism.
