Korean Jindo originating in South Korea have unmatched loyalty. These dogs are intelligent and have a knack for hunting. Temperament & Personality
With hunting knacks, Korean Jindo likes to hunt deer, rodents, and other small animals. These watchdogs love to roam independently and protect their territory which is the reason this dog is not appropriate for the new owners. Jindo is high on energy and is famous for their kindness. They are also good jumpers and can easily cross the fence if it is too low. The dog is good learners and learns tricks and commands very quickly. They must be kept busy as a bored dog will find out their ways of amusement.

Jindo puppies do not like to live in apartment life and require a free space to move and play. This breed needs a minimum amount of activity which can be covered by walking and jogging twice a day.
Jindos requires minimum grooming and are naturally clean dogs. They do not need bathing regularly as they have self-cleaning coats. In hot seasons brushing twice will help to remove the dead coats as they shed slowly in warm weather.
Korean Jindo is a healthy breed and does not have serious genetic problems. It may suffer from Hypothyroidism, which is a common disease in many breeds. Symptoms include hair loss, dull, thin coat, flaky skin. Regular tests can avoid the dog from getting unhealthy.
Training this dog is difficult and for better results, it should be started at a very early stage. They have a strong prey drive which makes socialization with children and others pets necessary.
Meals high in corn is a big NO for this breed. The most healthy food for Jindos can be home cooked meals which contain natural ingredients and supplements. The second choice can be dry dogs food 1.5 to 2.5 cups per day will keep the dog healthy.
