Pomimos are a crossbreed between Pomeranians and American Eskimos. With a sturdy and compact body, an oblong-shaped face, and a coat with long furs, this breed is a real delight for the owner. Their captivating appearance and affectionate personality make them a real head turner.
Temperament & Personality
Pomino is loyal and protective towards their family and enjoys indulging in different kind of activities. They may get anxious if their owner leaves them alone for a prolonged period. The Pomimos are an excellent watchdog as they tend to bark whenever they see an unfamiliar face in the house. Their interactions with children should be supervised by the adults.

Ease of Grooming
The little pups need daily activities like romps in the yard area, a walk in the park, or interactive play sessions with other dogs. In the same way, the adult dogs also need a dose of daily activities to keep them mentally and physically fit. A less-exercised Pomimo can become destructive and starts barking. Getting in contact with extreme heat while doing its exercises may harm the dog physically.
The problem of matting and gradual accumulation of dead hair on the coat can be prevented by brushing the coat of the dog once or twice a week. Bathing it 6-7 times a year is recommended. The owner can get rid of symptoms related to ear infection by checking the ears once every week. Brushing their teeth 3-4 times a week is enough and trimming the toenails once a month will complete the need of the extra grooming.
The Pomimos can acquire some ailments from their parents such as Cataracts, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, bones & joints issues, and problems of gums and teeth. Some may also suffer from Hyperpigmentation and hair loss.
As these dogs are headstrong by nature, they need a trainer who is strong and consistent while training. Pomimos need early socialization with other dogs and animals to prevent them from becoming aggressive and bashful in future. Obedience training in the form of the ‘’quiet’’ command, whenever they start barking unnecessarily, will prevent them from becoming an excessive barker.
A consolidation of dry and canned dog food will keep the dog in overall good health. The quantity should be half to a full cup of food in a day.
