Scent hound dogs truly live up to their expectations, as these dog breeds hound or pursue a quarry by following its trail. Since a scent-hound dog chases a game at top speed, the canine by and large remains invisible to the hunter. However the hunter is easily able to keep track of the trail left behind by the dog as he keeps barking while chasing the prey.
