History
Toy Fox Beagle is a Toy Fox Terrier and Beagle mix. Not much is known about their history. They have a calm nature and are known to make perfect apartment dogs.
Temperament & Personality
They have inherited an affectionate and loving nature from Beagle while acquired an inquisitive and brave character from its Terrier parents. These dogs don’t like to stay isolated and develop a unique bond with its family members. They are best companions for kids and get easily mix with unknown people, which makes it a weak watchdog. Toy Fox Beagle are great at chasing preys as it inherits tracking, hunting and smelling instincts from its parents.
Exercise
Mini Beagle is an active dog and requires moderate exercising schedule. They can meet their daily exercising requirements if they get adequate space. But it is crucial to take them for a walk twice a day, it will aid the dog to breathe in fresh air. These dogs are inquisitive and might get lost very quickly. Therefore, owners should take them out on a leash.
Grooming
These dogs have a coat which is easy to maintain than the other dog breeds. They shed frequent to moderately and require brushing once a week to remove dirt, debris and dead hairs. Few dogs have an odor because of their Beagle lineage, but they should be bathed when it is needed. Frequent bathing can lead to overproduction of oils which can irritate their skin. Nails will require trimming two to three times a week with a nail clipper to prevent cuts and scratches. Teeth brushing every twice or thrice will avert tartar collection and tooth decay. They have droopy ears which will retain moisture and wax and will need cleaning every week, to prevent painful ear infection.

Training
Their intelligence and eager to please nature makes training easy. Socializing can be made accessible by taking them to public places, parks and dog’s parks will allow the dog to meet new people and pets. Leash training is crucial and choosing an isolated location will make the practice more accessible. They have a habit of nipping which can be checked by behavioral training like exposing them to unusual sounds or lights. It will aid the dog to get rid of its suspicious behavior.
Feeding
These are highly energetic dogs and providing them with a healthful diet which is rich in protein and carbohydrate is ideal. Fish and meat will be a good source of energy and protein. They tend to suffer from obesity, and the owner can give dry dog food 1 cup regularly to solve this health problem. Dividing meals will stop them to put extra weight and keep digestion in order.
