Shortly bulls have generous nature and makes a perfect companion dog. They are suited for an apartment life and the houses with yards. Their prey drive makes them run after anything that is moving. Exercise

Due to its high energy level, it requires exercising throughout the day. In comparison to the English Bulldog, this breed is more athletic. Long walks twice a day or jogging with adequate time to play in a yard will be sufficient. The fence of the yard should be minimum 4 feet high, as they are excellent jumpers and can quickly jump over a small wall. To keep the dog mentally active, puzzle games or tricks games with the owner will provide mental stimulation to the dog.

Grooming

Shorty bull requires low maintenance and to keep its coat clean and dirt free, brushing thoroughly once a week will be adequate. Teeth will need regular brushing to prevent tartar buildup and tooth decay. Bathing is advisable when the dog is exceptionally filthy. Ears collect germs, dust, and moisture quickly which can cause painful ear infections. Therefore it becomes crucial to clean the dog’s ear twice a week. Toenails will require clipping when they overgrow.

Health Problems

It is a new breed, and not much known about its health issues. But random tests and veteran check-up will help the dog to stay healthy.

Training

Training from a young age is beneficial. A significant routine of crate and housebreaking training will habituate the puppy. Early socialization will help them to mix well with unknown people and other pets. They might become aggressive to same-sex but can be overcome by socializing.

Feeding

Commercial dry dog foods specially made for this type of dogs are suitable. 2-3 cups of dry food will be enough for this breed. Dividing meals into two halves will keep the digestion on track.
